Warning: Ranting and Raving follows....

Not a good day for me. I don't know why. Perhaps I am not handling the pain from my back very well. I have had a headache for 2 days also. My tongue is so dry it is sore even!

I woke up thinking I had a mammogram appointment at 10am. It wasn't til I got to work I found out it was tomorrow. As you girls know, that means - no deodorant.

Gas is now $3.85/gal

Then things started going wrong at work and the whining and demands on my time began. Don't get me wrong, I love helping people with valid concerns and problems. I love ignorance, it is an opportunity for teaching and helping people be more productive workers. I just wish people would think before they start crying for my help. First, don't whine - no one likes a whiner, why would someone want to help a whiner? Second, think before you ask the question - I don't know what you want me to do, can you come to my desk and walk me through this again? Notice the work "again". Should be a dead giveaway that your problem is NOT going to get priority. Go back to your desk and try to remember, find your notes or the handout I gave you with the step by step instructions.

Then, there is the oblivious gopher of the cubicle mazes. She talks loudly, complaining, raising her voice that is already cutting right through your head. You have to hear her personal calls, then she hangs up and repeats the whole thing all over. This is followed by 20 minutes of gossiping about anyone she can think of on that day. Then back to whining about how she can't get any work done. Try shutting up!

Yeah, I lost it today. I told her to quiet down. I was ignored. I told the whiner I would be happy to help her during my after work lab and reminded her we had covered it before. She huffed off. Hopefully, to bug someone else. By 3pm I was barely hanging on to my bad mood before it slipped into "evil territories". My head was pounding, my neck and back throbbing. I was hoping no one would approach me for the remaining 30 minutes. All I wanted to do was go home, take something for the pain, and lay down with my heating pad.

The chiropractor didn't have an appointment until 8pm! They are closed tomorrow. The first available appointment was Friday at 11:45...I took it.

Well, thank you for listening to my somewhat exaggerated rant about my day. I feel much better now. Mostly because of the heating pad and Ultram. But also because I was able to write a caricature about my day.

Thanks for listening.
