I went to my foot doctor appointment yesterday....and today. I went a day early. This has been happening a lot lately. Maybe I am distracted. A hour too late, a day late, day early.
Anyway, what I thought all this time (years) was a bone spur is not a bone spur. I have tendonitis of the achiles where it meets the heel bone. It really hurts now because they played with it, I went for a walk, and I did the stretching exercises they gave me.
Family, listen up. Does this sound like you? I have calf muscles that are too tight. Apparently, this is hereditary. I have always be aware because it is hard, not mushy like my other muscles. :) I am unable to flex my feet upward and it makes it almost impossible to touch you toes. So now I have to have physical therapy 3 times a week (maybe I will see you there, Dad), massage, and stretches. I have to wear extra cushion in one shoe to take the stress off the tendon.
It seems like all I do is go to doctors now.
I love the comment some brave and sassy person left regarding James (from Survivor). I repeated it at Knorthern Knitters last night and at the lunchroom today.
Sadie and I walked up on the hill at work this evening. I have not walked her since I hurt my back. Today I made the final arrangements for her to go stay with Brandi's family on Saturday. I have to leave early Sunday morning for Cincinnati for a conference. After that I started worrying and getting anxious - and I tell everyone, she has the separation anxiety problem. Good grief. We stopped at the office because my boss's car was still there and visited with him. Sadie is always afraid of him, but tonight he scratched her ears and back and she was sold. She's pretty easy, eh? I brushed her with a whisk broom the other day and she liked that too.
They are having an open casting call for The Amazing Race at Arnies Craft Store Memorial Weekend. Might have to go to that, just to watch.
Deadliest Catch is on tonight and the Alaskan Experiment (I tape it).
Does anyone watch Dirty Jobs? I thought the self sustaining dairy farm was nasty, last night he was a turkey inseminator. 5 minutes was all I could take!
