Mother's Day

Mom got a chuckle out of her fishy pot scrubbers. I am thinking that dad will be the one testing them though.

I took mom to the casino in Standish. We had a hard time finding it. There are no signs on the freeway or any once you get into town. We finally found a teeny temporary sign stuck in the ground with teeny tiny lettering. Mom had a good time, but said the one in TC is more to her liking. I wanted to take pictures of the inside, but mom didn't think that would be a good idea.

I am not a gambler, but the time went by quickly. I mostly watched mom, which is exactly what she didn't want me to do. She was not familiar with the machines, and would ask me what something meant. Of course, I had NO idea. It was noisy and smoky. But the building is all done in log. There are large log pillars and it seems kinda nice. Of course, it is the first casino I have been in since college. I am not sure what is considered "in" now.

We were both tired and sore from the drive when we got back. I came home and made coffee in order to stay awake for the Survivor finale. I am rooting for Amanda.

  1. I can't believe Pava-rotzy won! I didn't care for her "strategic" play, all she was rewarded for was manipulation. I think Erik summed it up well, he has more morals than the game allows you to advance with! He's from Michigan, I knew I liked him!!

And James, he's so damn cute, taking his clothes off at the cemetary, so the mourners smile, he should be a naked grief counselor! :-)
