Pinch me, I think I'm Dreaming

Another beautiful day. It is still 50 degrees out at 9:30pm. It was in the 60's all day. I saw my neighbors today....sounds funny, but I really saw them, waved and hollered "Happy Spring!" I had both my house doors open and the one window that doesn't have shrink-wrap on it. The cat sat in that window all afternoon

I took the girls for a ride (with the roof open) to Houghton Lake for grocery shopping, cleaned the carport, walked around out back, and bar-b-qued some burgers on the grill. I moved furniture and vacuumed too. I am still not feeling that great, so I wanted to be careful not to overdue it. (why are there two "u"s in vacuum?) Yeah, I am still a bit spacey.

Brandi's parents picked her up around 6pm and her dad confirmed, the wall will come down! He even offered to help me set it up to hang my Murano glass pendant light from the ceiling. I bought it in Murano, Italy about 5 years ago and it is still in the box. I would love to finally have a place for it. That is secondary, of course, to having the wall GONE.

Twisted Sister called today while she was watching her daughter practice driving in a large vacant supermarket parking lot. Steve was riding shotgun. I kept hearing sirens in the background, but she assured me they had nothing to do with Jordan's driving. She is done with book testing and begins test driving in May. Boy, they grow up quick. She was already asking me while they were here if she could drive my car this summer. I less than skillfully avoided answering.

Sadie has been sleeping since Brandi left! Tomorrow I have to mop the kitchen floor. The girls and I tracked in a lot of mud and dirt from the carport. It's trashed. The rugs will have to be done too, I hope I can hang them out on the clothesline tomorrow. Ahhh, spring just might be ahead somewhere. I am not stupid though, I am sure we will get more snow before spring is official.

  1. she will be a skilled, and done with her teacher trained driving by the time we arrive - mom laughed thru the issue too, however, she has to log 500 hours before getting her license, better in Rosco than Houston!! Of course, the week after the 4th, and out at the Beaver Club will be best
