Another sign of spring - peepers! I heard peepers today! I took some marsh pictures in order to give you the feel of the sound of peepers. Fruitless, I know, maybe I can find a peeper recording to share....hmm
It was sunny and 71 so we went
walking. Sadie fell in the lake, more of a mis-step, she tried to wade into her usual drinking spot on Marl Lake, but the first step was a doozie. After the initial shock wore off, she was running in and out of the water the entire time. Crazy dog. I wore a sweater, and was a bit too warm.I have been enjoying the warm weather for two days. The heat has been off most of the time. The bills are starting to show a reductions. My electric bill was $20 lower than last month. I got a revised bill from
my old phone company and I sent them too much money last week. Now they owe me about $50.I tested the hammock a bit this afternoon. My backyard is a disaster. No matter how many times I raked and hauled leaves last year, my back yard is full. I have already done it several times this spring. I called and got an estimate to have my whole yard done. $125. I am seriously thinking about it. I am going to be spending a lot of time in the back yard this summer. I will see if I can swing it.
I started knitting again. I got past a major obstacle on a sweater I had finished. It was too short when I was done. Someone from my knitting class sent me a web page with suggestions. These suggestions involved SNIP SNIP. Yes, cutting my finished sweater. I struggled for several weeks with the thought of cutting my sweater. Then I decided, what the heck, I can't wear it the way it is now, so why not? So I did. It took me two classes just to get it back on the needles so I could start working on it again. I will post a photo soon.
The woman that works at the Laundrymat just around the corner from you, her and her husband own a landscaping business and do yard cleanups, you may check with them also :)
