Another brilliant beautiful day. More blistering temperatures. A friend of mine spent the morning at Tip Up Town and hurried home to remove her socks and count her toes to make sure they had not froze off. We shared our disbelief that anyone would willingly jump in the water on a day like this. We were referring to that uncivilized tradition of the Polar Bear Diving. I am not sure it is a TUT tradition, but dang, people actually do that! We both agreed it was a good day to stay indoors.
Sorry Sadie, no walk today. She has already started her parade of toys. She empties her toy basket, I put them all back. Repeat. This is her way of saying "Come on Mom...let's play". For some reason, when I imagine Sadie talking to me, she sounds exactly like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
I drank a lot of coffee, so I spent the morning cleaning and cooking. I cook a big batch of chili or goulash and freeze it in lunch size portions for work. This week it is goulash. The whole house smells like garlic, yummm. Somewhere in all the vacumning, Cari called and left a message inviting me to dinner tomorrow. I never heard it. I discovered her message during a food break and called her back to accept.
After hanging up, it is time to clean up in the kitchen. I loaded the dishwasher, and cleared the countertops. I wanted to take more pictures of the kitchen for the contest. As I worked, my thoughts were racing....what, how, and why. Afterwards, I spent some time getting it all down as a rough draft for my entry. It is a page long and 460 words. I will need to check the guidelines to see if there is a limit. :) I don't want to overwhelm them either! LOL
Time for a food break
