Later the same day

I became ill right after lunch today and though I made it to the end of the day, I could not go to dinner at Cari's. I was bummed. I think I was a little to anti-social last weekend with the cold and wanted to get out! But there is something going around and I don't want to take a chance of infecting anyone. Especially my Dad, I know he wants to have knee surgery and his summer golf plans will not be delayed. :) I called them afer I talked to Cari and found out he has a date for Feb. 11. !

I had a very disturbing dream last night. I dreamed I had been "drafted" to go to Iraq. In my dream I was going through training, shooting, and being outfitted. Women were not treated well, but were expected to put on a good front. For example, several women (including me) were expected to go on Oprah, topless, because of uniform shortages! Through it all, we were never given any other skills, tips, or intelligence in order to survive over there. I went through the whole dream with the belief I would not be coming back. It was creepy, depressing, and made me realize that I watch WAY too much Law & Order! Iraq was a theme in one of about 5 episodes I watched yesterday.

Hopefully, I will be cheerier tomorrow! All I have to do is look at the photo below in order to smile.
