We have settled into a routine. It was immediately adopted and adhered to by all.
The girls get up first. Ali has to catch the bus for summer school at 6:30am. Jordan leaves about a hour later.
Usually, Grandma is up, at least when Jordan leaves, drinking coffee. She spends the morning sitting by the pool, reading and smoking.
Steve sleeps in the living room and he will join her.
Then Twisted Sister. The last ones up are Grandpa and I. He heads out to the pool deck to enjoy the outdoors before the heat becomes sufficating.
I take the remaining coffee out to the pool and top off Mom's coffee cup before making my own, much stronger, pot of coffee.
Then we all just take our time waking up.
