I am trying to type this while Brandi's head is on my arm, in my face, and on the keyboard. :) This morning I had a bath before I even got out of bed! Sleeping hasn't been very easy lately. Brandi is not entirely to blame. Friday night I woke up with leg cramps in one of my legs. It took several minutes to get to the bathroom to pop a potassium tablet under my tongue. I don't know how I learned about this, but within a few minutes the cramps eased and I went back to bed WITH the potassium close by on the nightstand.
An hour later, the other leg cramped. To clarify, these cramps are not in my calves. It happens on the inside of my thighs and it seems to occur every few months. I did some research online the next morning, I learned that muscle cramps are common in fibro and several websites mentioned Vit E. I am not convinced it is related to the fibro, but I have begun supplementing with 400mg of E in the morning.
Sadie and I will have Brandi with us until Easter Sunday. She is high energy, like Sadie, and we have been going to Pioneer Hill every day so they can run. She is used to a family of five and I fear we are way too tame for her taste. :)
Plans are still on for Friday's sheep shearing. I will NOT be taking the girls. Every time I try to work with the wool I am going to card, Brandi takes off with a mouthful every time I turn around. I gave up and I either knit or I have begun rug braiding again. I want to compare the wool I am "processing" to the wool I bought to make the rug.
Friday, I conducted my first training at the college. My boss loved it and I was exhausted when it was over, so I know they drained my brain. Then I had to dash out to Cari's shop and have her "make me beautiful". I love the way it turned out.
Saturday I bought a new game for the Nintendo, SimCity. I was addicted to it when it was a DOS application (remember DOS?). I played with it until Brandi made me stop.
I know I haven't mentioned everything I wanted to write, but I can't let it get overwhelming or I will be less likely to start at all!
I have been watching "1000 ways to die" on Spike for several hours this evening. OMG, so funny. It is the Darwin Awards for TV. The best part are the little titles they give after each incident.
Sunday - We were supposed to get another winter storm today, but it appears it will hit south of us instead. I am so tired of snow! However, there is more in the forecast.
Well, I am off to bed. I have figured out how to share the bed with Brandi. I tried banning her, but she would sneak in later. What was happening was that I was pinned down under the covers between the two dogs. Then the cat would either be at my head or my back. Very confining and slightly claustrophobic. Now I take off the comforter and wait for the girls to get settled. Then I just cover myself with the comforter. No confinement! Still slightly claustrophobic. But I am sleeping better. Now is she would only stop snoring.... LOL just kidding. She does snore during her "cat naps" but that's it.
I am looking forward to a short week at work and shorter hours also! woo woo! Good night!
