Chasing Teri

The weather chased me all day!

When it got too hot for the hammock, we went to the gazebo. After an hour, the storm clouds covered the sun and we headed home. I camped in the hammock until the thunder started then moved inside. Then it cleared up! Frustrated and restless, we got in the car to return my last library book. Afterwards, I found myself in town and made an impulsive decision to take a walk on Tisdale and try out my new shoes! It was a short walk because the beastmaster has spoken, and I must comply. Not only that, the black flies were nasty and it started raining!

We headed to mom and dad's for a visit. In just that short distance, it was clear and sunny again and we sat on the deck. I finally got to see the new BBQ, wow! big and stainless. I swear it is as big as the one at the Beaver Club (hunting camp for those of you that may be unfortunate enough to have never been).

I have taken some photos and will post them in the coorisponding posts tomorrow, so review the last few posts for photos.

For those of you that will be heading north this week, and I don't mean from downstate, here are some quick facts.

1. Plan on buying a coat from the Loom Room
2. It was 73 today.
3. It rains daily, get used to it.
4. Gas is $4.15 a gallon - budget accordingly. :)
5. Fred's bowling alley should open again the 2nd week of July.
6. The new pizzaria (f/k/a TNT) is opening tomorrow - they have wi-fi
7. There is no Dairy Queen - there are many ice cream places at the lake though
8. The water is cold, as I mentioned before, get used to it.
9. No swimmer's itch has been reported yet this year.
10. There is a Farmer's Market on Mondays in Roscommon
11. Lowell and Margaret have asparagus (ack!)
12. ?? Anything else you need to know?

I can't wait! The relatives are descending soon! And me, with all this time off ! Yipee!

As I close, I am hearing thunder in the distance again. And I hear one of the neighbors rushing to mow the lawn before it rains. There are tornado and flash flood warnings down in the Flint area - isn't someone flying into Flint airport soon? Hope it is still there on Tuesday. hehehehe
