What a wonderful day in Northern Michigan!
We had sunshine and balmy temperatures in the low 60's. It is amazing what it does to everyone's state of mind. Everywhere I went people were friendly, outgoing, and happy. It was so nice to go out and about to do chores.
The morning didn't start so wonderful. I woke up and Sadie had a couple accidents during the night. I slept pretty hard last night, so she probably tried to wake me at the usual time and I slept through her attempts. I put her outside, kinda after the fact, I know. I looked out the kitchen window into the back yard and was surprised to see Mister's buddy so close to the house. My next thought was, oh crap, Sadie is going to see that cat and tear the new hook out of the side of the house running after it.
But I had lots of time to get my camera and take a couple shots. The cat sat there the whole time Sadie was out there. She never saw it.

I received an email from a reader indicated that the cat was ghostly and kinda creepy. My thoughts, always outrageous (or creative, as I prefer to refer to them), wandered and I began to wonder if Sadie couldn't see the cat, only I could. What if this cat was like a guardian angel or a friendly ghostly specter? Casper, the friendly ghost-kitty? Okay, a bit of a stretch, but fun to consider.
We went to work until 11:30. Then we had time for a quick walk and I took lots of pictures. Isn't it funny how the eye fixates on things? I saw the dead tree during the walk and had to try and make an artsy-fartsy photo opportunity out of it. I played around with levels, contrast, and the sharpen mask in the dead tree photos.

Then we went home and loaded the car with my tool box and cordless drill and headed to the gazebo. Jerry had called last night and we made arrangements to winterize the gazebo while Cari was at work. On the way home, I saw him at the hardware, honked and waved back at him. Small towns are great that way! I figured I better not dilly dally, I didn't want him to have to wait on me.

But, after that, somewhere along the line, we missed each other.
I went straight down to the gazebo and started getting everything ready. It was pretty windy and that worked to my advantage. Also, the neighbor piled his dock section right in front of the building - and that worked too. I was able to use the wind to hold up the plastic while I moved around and up and down to position it. I had it all spread out over the front and ready to be fastened down, but still no Jerry. I walked to the back and noticed his ladder was set up against the fence. I thought to myself, "okay, he's parking the car and trailer after unloading his ladder and he will be down here in a minute". So I grabbed my drill and some trim and began fastening down the plastic.

Some more time went by and still no Jerry. Now I was getting worried. I walked up to the road to look for him. He was fine. He was sitting in the car waiting for me! Probably cussing women in general for their lack of promptness. Pretty funny. We finished the gazebo in record time.
I dropped Sadie off at home and ran to Walmart. I wanted to get some sewing supplies for the knitting group's sewing day tomorrow.
By the time I got back home, my energy was waning and I was getting pretty sore. I had a full body massage yesterday. I made the appointment because of a trouble spot on my neck. It was like a knot, and it appeared suddenly on Thursday afternoon. So I had her do some concentrated deep muscle massage on my neck. She sent me home a hour later, sore but better, with orders to drink tons of water or I would pay for it tomorrow. I followed orders! So being a little sore wasn't a big deal.

I had wondered if the massage would irritate my fibro and/or send me into a flare, but, knock on wood, it has been 24 hours and I'm just a normal sore. I slept like the dead last night and feel so refreshed today!
