Blending, spinning, and walking

I have been doing a lot of spinning lately. And plying. And walking...and going to doctors.

It's time for my routine physical and my new age bracket opens up all sorts of new and unpleasant testing. Nuff said.

Earlier in the week I blended a saturated green to go with my Kool-Aid mix. I really like how it turned out. It spun up quickly. I am finished plying and will be soaking it tomorrow.

I am just starting to play with the idea of art yarn. I have thrown in a wide variety of fibers but still managed to stay conservative. I'm going to have to work on being braver and more outrageous in this area.

We had a few sunny days and Sadie and I enjoyed going to Marl Lake. That's where I took our picture.

A wide variety of water fowl are collecting there. There are Wood ducks, Mallard duck,s gray herons, and swans, as well as Canadian geese. The geese are noisy. But the wood ducks are fun to watch as they're playing around the swans.
