Spring cleanup

The landscapers came today.

This is the first time I've seen them do my yard. Usually it's done when I get home.

I enjoyed watching them. They have quite a system. They didn't even use the rake until the end. Strictly blowers and snow shovels! Snow shovels are great for pushing piles of leaves, did you know that?

At one point they knocked on the door and asked me to move my car out of the carport for them. They needed to get the leaves from the backyard to the front yard so they could vacuum them up with the vacuum truck. I grabbed my coffee, my phone and Sadie and we backed the car up to the end of the driveway and watched them funnel the leaves through the carport.

Once the leaves are through the carport and in one huge pile, the vacuum truck comes in. The guys rake the leaves in front of the vacuum funnel and all the leaves disappear! It's immediately gratifying.

I talked with them a little bit and let them know I was impressed with the whole process. They're quite a happy, polite, and friendly bunch!

I took lots of pictures.

I will have a nice clean yard for my leisurely summer months in the hammock.
