These photos are from my BOW Winter outing. Jan 29, 2011
BOW stands for Becoming an Outdoor Woman, it is a program sponsored by the DNR. I try to join them when they are at the MacMullen Center. It is the same program I went to in August where I learned fly fishing and kayaking.
I'm in the back. I had been doing a lot of leading (breaking trail) and the snow was deep and I was tired!
Did you know you can SLED with your snowshoes? It's fun...until you get to the bottom and have to try and stand without taking off the snowshoes...(see below-I needed help! lol)
It was fun and now I have a new winter sport that I really enjoy. It's good exercise too!
"The group" posing after our trek. :)
