Winter isn't so bad after all...

I'm dressing warmer, thanks to 110. I don't mind being out in the cold if I'm not cold!

I recently attended a DNR sponsored women's weekend, or day, in my case. Becoming an Outdoor Woman (BOW).  The coordinator allowed me to attend for free because I found her a shooting instructor.  So I took snowshoeing and shooting.  I am getting pretty good with handguns. I shot the trusty .22, but also a .38 Special and a .357.  Didn't like the kick on the .357, but someday...I would like to work up to a .45.

I bought some cross country ski boots and found some skis in the pole barn. Also loved the snowshoeing and found a pair of those in the pole barn too. They are really old and need new bindings, but should be about $50 and I'm good to go.  The more active I am, the better I feel. My attitude and mood are so positive right now!

The snow is so deep now, it is impossible for me to walk. I will have to ski or snowshoe. Our area received about 8" of snow this week from the huge storm that hit 30 states.

Did get some bad news last week. My work hours are going to be almost cut in half on July 1. I was upset initially...very upset.  But it is a long way off and things could change. There are some things I can do to increase my chances of getting more hours. I have already begun taking steps to reduce my bills.  And I realized I will be eligible for unemployment...and it will be summer...I have to look on the bright side. :)
