More than 1/2 our work force in the administrative office were out sick yesterday. Some flu or cold thing going around. I have (knock on wood) escaped it so far. But I had a quiet and productive day yesterday. :)
Knit night was fun and we had a full group! And ambitious! One girl is knitting a bag with a siloette of Jimmy Stewart on it. She printed and blew up the image and traced it on special knitting graph paper. It is so cool! Another lady is doing a suduko afghan, using colors. 9 blocks of 9 colors that don't line up. Yikes! Too much thought involved for me. I am having trouble with socks, snakes, and hats. I can't do anything requiring too much thought at work or in the knit group. Well, I can, but I have to rip it out within 1/2 hour.
Sadie and I walked again on Sunday. It was beautiful. The leaves are turning colors and falling and the sun was shining brightly. I was feeling dizzy and nauseous afterwards so went home and laid down. I got to thinking it might be my back. So, first thing Monday I called the chiropractor and that seems to have helped with my headache and dizziness.
Well, back to my knitting...Christmas is coming. Gosh, I pressure myself enough, don't I? :) Cripe, I have an economy in the pits to do that for me already!
no kidding on the economy depression, how to keep a "happy face" while our 401k's are dwindling......the words "would you like fries with that" keep entering my head, because I'm going to be 70+ and working at McDonalds!
ReplyDeleteI answered my own question, I get a Happy face when pulling into the gas stations, we're sub $3 - YEA
ReplyDelete(and how pathetic is that, to be excited over gas pricing being below the ridiculous $3 mark).
And I heard they went and proposed another Stimulus Check for us, which President Bush said "No, they already got one" so she'll propose it again after early November.
