Winding down at work...

This is my last week at work. My position was eliminated due to budget cuts. I've been there 14 years!
I was told in March, so I've had time to come to terms with it and make arrangements and plans. It's been a rollercoaster!

I start 2 online classes July 2 (next Monday!) in their second summer session for Computer Information Systems with Davenport University. I have to do the online orientation still. They use blackboard (aack!). I had 5 courses for the fall but my advisor recommended I drop one, so I'm going to. They have two sessions in the fall, and I have 2 courses for each session. I am also unsure of my financial aid, so until I get the hang of all this, I want to see how I do with the recommended course load. They seem to have 2 sessions for every semester, so maybe I will finish this faster than I think...

OH, good news, my good neighbor texted me today and told me the drunken neighbor, who's been gone for about 3 weeks, is putting his house up for sale. Good thing, he came back yesterday and I am already super annoyed with him being here.

I have kicked my creative butt into gear and I am knitting and dyeing wool like it's going out of style. I am putting together a dye color resource/quick reference so I know what color the dyed wool will be when done. Then I can mix and play combining the colors. This was an investment, but it will be a long term activity and a new branch in my wool hobby. I'm making mistakes, but learning a lot and having FUN. It's been very therapeutic for me as my last days at work are winding down.

My exit interview is tomorrow and because I had boatloads of vacation time, my last day will be Wednesday (only a day and a half left!).

Sheep Boy came over yesterday. He brought me 2 black/grey fleeces and we skirted and rebagged them. Then we went out to the hunting camp. We had a wonderful day together, relaxed, walked and I enjoyed his companionship. There was another couple out there and we all sat on the deck over the river and enjoyed the afternoon. Sadie ran all over with their dog and chased chipmunks. Then I made taco salad (with lettuce we picked from on my deck) for dinner. The hunting camp is like the lake for me, gets me centered, calm, and relaxed.

One of my knittign friends Yarn Bombed me. She snuck over early one morning and put a bikini on my tree! It gave me a good laugh when I pulled to the end of my driveway and discovered it! Also, I finished the knitted chicken I have been working on. It was so much fun to knit. I may start another one sooner rather than later. I gave it to a coworker that began to knit while we worked together. We compared showed off our projects to each other and she asked me for advice, and I learned from her too. I gave it to her hoping it would inspire her to continue to knit. She was thrilled and gave me a big hug. She will be missed. :(
