My fleece is a scrap.Sheep Boy called me this evening to give me the news. She turned out to be a handful and it took 3 men to shear her. The focus was on the safety and control of the sheep, not keeping hay out of the fleece and keeping it in one piece. :) I have no problem with their priorties. I was sorta looking forward to the challenge of processing the fleece, but I'm also relieved. It didn't look to be in the best shape.I still think of her as "Buffalo". I thought she looked like a molting buffalo in the pen which probably isn't complimentary to a sheep. I'm glad she will be cooler now that she's devested of her large fleece.I spent the day sanding the little chest of drawers I found at the moving sale, then made cheese and did my first ply with beads in the evening.
A very productive day!
