Alpaca shearing day

A cool, misty day at Chickasaw Farm. I had a great time and learned a lot. Sheep Boy watched, learned, and was given the opportunity to shear one. It was a fun day with a much smaller group than the sheep shearing. It gave me more opportunities to ask questions and get to know people. Sheep Boy bought 2 petting zoo friendly Suri alpacas. Since we couldn't get them into my car, he will be returning later this week to pick them up.
I also got to hang out at Sheep Boy's farm for awhile too. He has 2 lambs I can't wait to get my fingers into their fleeces. :) Chevy, a cheviot, and a white and tan "hair sheep", as he calls it, I am not sure, but it seems soft, without guard hairs, so far.
Bob and Gracie are thriving. He lets them out daily and they follow him around the yard while he does chores. They have developed a taste for chocolate mint cookies and an occasional Nilla Wafer.
