Well the summer flew by quickly! I was disappointed that the summer was not warmer but it was still beautiful and fall came too quickly. Did not get to the gazebo as much as I would like but such is life. I ended up with swimmers itch the last time.
A friend of mine needed a sitter for her nine and 11-year-old kids while she worked. It was four days a week $100 a week and it fit with my schedule perfectly. So we are able to help each other out. Had a grand time with the kids and got to do things like volunteer at the animal rehabilitation center and I talked him about letterboxing.
I am in my final semester of school and I do need to travel twice a week to Grand Rapids. On Tuesday's I have three classes and don't get home until 11:30 PM. Thursdays are lighter and easier.
Financial situation is at an all-time low and I needed to apply for forbearance on my mortgage with a lump payment due October 1. I was also able to delay paying my car payment.I am increasingly grateful for the people around me who have been generous with their time and encouragement and his 2 1/2 year journey.
My current train of thought is to seek employment in a large metropolitan area like Grand Rapids and commute weekends. I looked into some furnished apartments and have heard of motels that offer cut rates for staying during the week. My current train of thought on employment is leaning towards learning management systems. Originally I had wanted to teach online. I was told you now need a PhD to teach online so I would like to work behind-the-scenes enhancing online courses and making it a better experience for students like myself.I sometimes feel like I did not learn as much as I should have if I had been in seat. There is a lot to be said for networking on campus. I still enjoy the energy and interacting with students and instructors.
I am still considering a temper agency but I am going to run it by an instructor that was generous with her time and tutored me in database structure. I believe she is a dean for one of the departments and is active in or has a say in some of the online content and courses. One of my instructors the semester is the blackboard administrator for the college. He indicated I would be unable to work for them until after I graduate because of the conflict of interest or possibility of students getting into their own courses when they have administrative access. Rather than take it as a slight to my honesty, I see where this would be or could be a problem. All of their courses are on blackboard at this time.
On a personal note, things are going okay with Mitch and I have started blogging about that experience.
I have slowly been losing interest in my knitting but have started spinning again. Next weekend is the fIiber Festival in West Branch and I have been asked to be a volunteer and do some more photography for them.
have started playing with my driftwood and have been making mobile's and finding ways to use beads with them. IOne of my goals for the summer was to clean out the spare bedroom that I called the guest room and the back bedroom that I like to call my studio but has ended up being a big storage room. I did pretty well with this. I ended up taking a lot of stuff out to the garbage or giving it away. I am down to three boxes in the living room and a few baskets that I don't know what to do with.

lovely artwork and pets. I liked the spinning especially. How did you like the festival? I wish the trees had been more colorful but otherwise it was ok, just a ton of work.
