Another Farm Visit & Thru the Holidays

I made another barn visit right before Christmas.

Again it felt good to be with the hay, horses, grain, manure and sheep. Yes, I love it all.

Fell in love with a guy named Duck. Jeanie's old white horse. He kept licking me and even let me hug him.

Then we went inside and did some spinning in front of the corn burner. Good conversation and food followed. I had trouble leaving! :)

Next time I will try to remember to take some photos.

The holidays were wonderful and the time off was much needed.

We haven't had much snow until New year's day, then we had a nice blizzard. It dumped enough snow that I was able to get out and snowshoe today. I can feel it in my legs already!

I removed my personal profile from the dating site just before Christmas. Things were getting too crazy for me trying to wrap up grading finals, finish a course development,...and trying to get enough down time was impossible. Things had to go. I emailed a few gentlemen I had been talking to and offered to continue correspondence and offered my email. I had to say goodbye to two of them today because they were simply not going anywhere. That's the short version and we are going to stick with that. :)

There are still a couple I'm talking to, but still in the early stages. I'm working on me right now and I'm content to let them develop slowly...

My laryngitis continues. I have not had my voice in 2 months. I go back to the specialist in 2 weeks to follow up on the treatment currently under way. Small improvement, but hardly noticeable, in my opinion.

I have made tentative plans to meet my long lost cousin, Jill, when I go. I think I was in my teens when I saw her last! My uncle Dan found her on Facebook and told me. My fb account is blocked. I am a very unsocial, social net-worker!

Trying a new treatment for the fibro that seems to be working! Musinex. Yep. I had read about it long time ago, but considered it unproven. At the time, my pain was not a big issue. But I have been in pain since June and it was starting to effect me in many adverse ways.

In October, I became sick with the flu, (after getting a flu shot and which has resulted in the laryngitis) and was taking lots of cold meds. I stopped my pain meds because there is so much Tylenol in all of the cold remedies. When I started getting better, I realized I didn't need the pain meds. It takes awhile to kick in, but it's starting to work. I take about 1/2 the meds now.
