Submitted!

This morning I submitted the entry into the ugly kitchen contest. I am glad that is done. I had a difficult time keeping it to one page and had to tweak the margins. I felt like a teenager manipulation the text size and margins for a term paper. But, true to the geek that I am, I was trying to make the text smaller and the margins smaller. :)

I immediately turned on my cell phone in anticipation of receiving the call telling me I am a semi-finalist. I am having fun with this. I honestly do not expect to qualify because of my location in relation to the sponsors. I am guardedly hopeful.

No sooner did I turn on my phone then it is time for lunch. I go to lunch, leaving the phone on my desk. I know it is not going to ring today, maybe tomorrow, but not today.

Next thing I know, one of my co-workers, who is "in the loop" on the project, enters the lunchroom holding my cell phone! Imagine my surprise! I know what you are thinking, but it wasn't the ugly kitchen people, it was Twisted Sistor calling from the mall about my birthday present. Our lunchroom is always noisy and rambunctious, and I had to explain where I was. :)

Anyway, I am keeping my cell phone with me for the next couple days. Don't call me and tie up the line! LOL
